Leaving Townsville, we headed inland on our way back to Cairns.
First stop was Charters Towers, a really cool little town with a lot of history.
Atherton

Driving North, we stopped overnight in Atherton, the heart of the Atherton Tablelands.
The country up here is really something special, just beautiful.
Port Douglas
