Day 24 Lucca to Camaiore

The days started off in the quite streets of Lucca where I passed Puccini’s house and left the suburbs to walk along the canal for about 5 km. While walking along country roads I was passed by a lot of cyclists. Some obviously professionals but most were men out for a Sunday ride but with all the kit. Then it was uphill which was more like a water run off than a waking track and I had to do some track maintenance to get through. The blackberries had climbed through the overhanging trees. I don’t know how yesterday’s people got through apart from crawling on hands and knees. Once I got to Montemanga the view was fantastic.Read more
