Village Bound

Woke up after a night of severe dog barking, well ear plugs fixed that, thunder, lightning and showers this morning with intermittent power cuts, having an Indian breakfast before I hit the road.Weiterlesen

This morning gives had breakfast then went for a bike ride. Had tea at a locals house and met his family and had chai tea after which we cycled back.

Got to see 3 monuments today, the Red Fort, baby Taj Mahal and the actual Taj Mahal, very foggy so took a while before we could actually see it but saw it inside and out in the end, although it wasWeiterlesen

Have been to the temple been well educated on the birds and the bees by our local guide and seen some fascinating temples and stonework, now having lunch

Up for breakfast then going for a walk in the village before heading off to Orchha

Arrived in Orchha and had a snooze then lunch then another little snooze before heading out to see the old Kings Palace and then headed into town in a tuk tuk to watch an Indian Hindu ceremony in theWeiterlesen

Had a nice lie in and went for a walk to find a working ATM, found one with an armed guard, money sorted back to hotel met up with the others and then went for a proper nose round, now having a lightWeiterlesen
Varanasi

Arrived in Varanasi after 14 hours on the overnight train, great experience never to be repeated, had lunch then took a tuk tuk to the Ganges and watched the cremation ceremony followed by the pujaWeiterlesen

Up at 6am to go and watch sunrise on the Ganges, it was pretty impressive, made our way back dodging the many goats and went back to hotel for breakfast. Then went on a tour of the local Silk makingWeiterlesen

Flew to Delhi today, spent most of the day at the airport and got into Delhi and went for dinner in the evening before going back to the hotel and having some chai before going to bed

So arrived on Goa after the journey from hell from the airport to where we're staying, almost threw up in the car but at least Goa is beautiful, checked into our beach hut with ac included and all isWeiterlesen
1st day in Goa

Woke up and wandered up and down the beach after breakfast, couldn't eat the omelette as was full of green chillies, then spent day on sun day beds with curtained canopies. Had a lovely dinner ofWeiterlesen
