Day 53 Douglas Daly

In the morning we had a quick look around Katherine before heading off towards Douglas Daly.
In Katherine we stopped by the visitor information centre and the shopping centre for supplies.
After Katherine we drove to Douglas Daly, where we stopped at the Douglas hot springs.
In the the free camp we relaxed in the hot springs which were very hot. There was not much water in the river but enough for a soak. You can wander around and find your own space and choose from super hot to refreshingly cool. The water was bubbling out of the ground at about 68`C... that was a bit too hot.
We met some kids from Newcastle NSW and spent the evening playing with them.
Tomorrow we will be heading towards Darwin stopping at a national park along the way.Read more
