A track resleepering projectWaiting for the train to pass can be a tiring jobA trackside slipFoamers get in my way as we proceed up the canyon, Silverton-boundClimbing above the Animas RiverA check rail is provided to (hopefully) stop a derailed car from 'going over' 😧Climbing still higher...1This area is close to the scene where Butch Cassidy and Sundance jumped off a rock into the river400 ft above. With binoculars, you should be able to see the fish.I can see one! In that upper pond...The 'Edge'...We're told it's iron that colours those cliffsThe diesel-hauled train departs ahead of usI'd have deleted the audio, but then you wouldn't have (almost) heard the engine-talkAnother attempt to snag some engine-talk... just as the engineer shut the throttle!20 mph max. The rail joints are staggered... so the cars are always rocking and rolling

TravelerThis area is close to the scene where Butch Cassidy and Sundance jumped off a rock into the riverIn actual fact, they jumped onto a safety tarpaulin about 5 feet down. The rest was dummies being thrown into the river. Who would've guessed? 😂
