What a great suggestion Claudia. By fast train to Aigle, then a fun little cog train to Leysin, an alpine village snuggled into the side of the Alps. A 500 metres walk down to ticket station and gondola ride to top of Berneuse.
Again, so lucky, beautiful sunny day and could see forever. Sat watching eager skiers on pristine slopes. Small envy that I didn't have any skis with me.
Lunch in Kuklos revolving restaurant.
Then when our eyes satiated, gondola to bottom and a very steep walk back to cog train. Fantastic.Read more
