Montserrat Monastery & Basilica

We teamed back up for a trip to the mountains! We visited Montserrat Monastery & Basilica - it’s a town perched on the side of the mountain. It’s ~1 hour north of Barcelona and was well worth the commute. The Basilica was huge, gothic, and beautiful! We enjoyed a performance of the boys’ choir. Claire and Christy visited the famous statue, the Black Madonna. Grant and Wendi hiked up to a lookout of Montserrat. We met back up for a walk through the museum, which had Picasso, Monet, Dalí, and some great regional art. It was a serene location and we had a nice day!Read more
