Day Trip to Trebinje ⛪️🍷

We went to Trebinje, Bosnia for the day! With the border crossing into Bosnia & Herzegovina it took about an hour and a half - not too bad.

First stop was the Tvrdoš Monastery, a 15th century monastery. They were harvesting and processing grapes for their winery, which was cool to see but unfortunately meant that the winery was closed for tasting.

We walked around Old Town and stopped at an ice cream shop for a sundae and espresso. Before we left town, we drove up to an Orthodox Church, Hercegovačka Gračanica, that overlooked the whole city.

We got back to Herceg Novi for dinner. We went to a Georgian restaurant and it was one of our favorite meals of the trip! The waiters were super nice and taught us how to eat their dumplings and bread/cheese boat.Read more
