Day 4 Erie Canal

Today was a drive day from Niagara Falls to Massachusetts...another drive tomorrow and we will arrive at Acadia National Park in Maine. It was a sunny day, and we had a little hitchhiker for miles. We stopped at the Port Byron Erie Canal Heritage Park to stretch our legs and learn some interesting history about the Canal. We were able to walk through a lock on the 2nd edition of the Canal from the early 1900s. There was also a restored tavern and hotel onsite. The volunteers were full of knowledge.
