Amy's Cannon Mountain

Pat captured it perfectly. He was not a hiker before, and it means a lot to me that he hikes with me. And that he gets it...he understands why I love it so much, he is loving it too. We have met so many great people on this trip and on these trails. It's nice to make connections, even if only for a few minutes. We met a man and his young son ,maybe 12 years old, on top of the fire tower who HIKED up Cannon Mountain! Over 4000 feet! The man was probably 50 and they were thrilled with their awesome accomplishment! They were smart and had a ticket down on the tram...it's the downhill that kills the knees!
