A slight diversion. A touch of fun and a bit of culture - a lesson in the Croation language begins with a little geography and some recent border history.

The Croatian language is phonetic. Each letter has only 1 sound.

30 letters. 3 'C's, 2 each D, L, N, S & Z.

No Q or W.

R is sometimes a vowel.

English is taught in the 1st Grade for most if the country. In some areas, more inland, German option or requirement. A peninsula (near Italy), Italian is a primary language, but English is taught as a third language.Read more
