    Fire at Glacier National Park

    On our drive up to see the Giant Cedars we witnessed our first Forest Fire. We first saw the helicopter dump water which appeared to be on the side of the highway ahead, once closer we were able to see that yes indeed the water was being dumped on a live fire on the side of the road. The helicopter then dipped its bucket into the river to collect more water to dump on the fire. Incredible to see up close and so sad to see the destruction of the fire. The next decision was do we continue on or are we at risk of not being able to get back. After a some quick discussions and assessment of risk, we decided to keep going.Read more
