    Birding in Auckland

    We sailed to Auckland last night. Today the naturalist Stephen Marsh, 5 fellow passengers and I took a 2 hour ferry to Tiritiri Island to bird. The island is now predator free so New Zealand's native birds have a chance to avoid extinction. Wow! Birds flitting everywhere! I was a bit bummed out because I forgot to put my camera in my backpack so I had to use my phone. Here are a few pictures.Read more
