    Onto Rinca Island to see the Komodo Lizards, the largest living Lizards. While they live in scattered communities elsewhere they are concentrated on the Komodo Islands which are a protected nature preserve and a World Heritage Site. They secrete a poison in their saliva that slowly anticoagulants the blood of the victim. Their mouths also contain numerous pathogens so if you don't bleed to death you will die of infection. So the lizards simply bite their prey and wait a few weeks to let them die. They also eat their young so the "little ones" scamper up trees where the adults can't follow them because they are too heavy. They sense with their tongues so you often see them flickering.Read more
