Ready day as Angelina used to say when she was little. Breakfast was lovely heaps to select from but we just had a basic meal on day 1, cereal, fruit and chilli omelet.

Very yummy lunch. John tried Chicken Fried Rice and I had Thai Peanut Chicken Salad. A little spicy but yummy. My usual iced long black coffee was also possible.

This evening we went for a short walk, lots of eateries and tuk tuk drivers, all touting for business.

We thought a drink on the roof top bar would be nice to finish the evening, however, the bar was closed due to a small wedding.

Left Negombo for a 3hr drive to Wilpattu Big Game Park our destination for 2 days.
We drove through many small towns, stopping occasionally for snacks.
On the Road

We even had a special stop, by the Police. Shanuka was driving 14km over the speed limit and was fined 500 rupees, equivalent to around $2.
