Entrance route to The Square we passed the Beijing Rail Station.
We were amazed how many people are employed to sweep the streets.Memorial monument at one end of the square.Monument in front of the Great Hall of the People. Tiananmen Square was closed to the public today. The closed square actually seemed to make it easier to see the important peripheral buildings.National Museum of China. And one lone man on the steps about to start sweeping. Our pathway to the Forbidden City. After entering the initial gate you can't help but notice many men dressed in black.Mark and our guide 'Stone' (his true name is just too difficult to remember let alone pronounce). The lion on the corner seems to be smiling ...So I'll just imitate him. 😁View of part of Beijing from the bus.
