Traveling to the Tasmaua Village. This is the village that owns the caves and has some type of arrangement with our cruise provider that our tour /dinner in the town follows the cave visit.
Martin, the spokesperson for the village, was very informative talking about the customs and rules of the village. It seems the chief runs the village and is chief for life.
This high school currently has ~156 students (w/ an anticipated ~250 once enrollment is complete); they come from 7 local islands, with 57 students living in boarding rooms on the grounds. TheLäs mer
After the high school visit, this marine biologist boarded our boat and gave a nice presentation.
The afternoon snorkel was the BEST reef I have experienced in my life. The only issue would be the lack of any larger fish. A simply awesome reef!!
