Mit unserem Segelboot Margna, einer Ovni 435, sind wir heute pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang am Ankerplatz in Fernando de Noronha, Brasilien angekommen. (Genaue Segelroute unter Noforeignland, SY Margna und Bilder bei Instagram sailingmargna). Die Überfahrt von Mindelo, Kapverden war 1.342 sm lang. Nach 10 Tage und 21 h haben wir es endlich geschafft! Anker runter, Beiboot klar machen, da sehen wir schon die vielen Delfine in der Bucht! Sie kommen jeden Morgen zum Sonnenaufgang! Ein großer Teil der Insel ist Nationalpark. Um diesen betreten zu dürfen, kaufen wir einen Nationalparkpass. Dieser kostet stolze 70 € pro Person und ist immer 10 Tage gültig.
Um zu den verschiedenen Orten und Stränden zu kommen, gibt es Busse, die tagsüber zwischen Hafen und Sueste hin und her pendeln. Eine Fahrt kostet immer 5 Real. Bezahlt wird bar beim Fahrer.
Auch ohne Pass kann man zum Beispiel am Strand beim Hafen super baden und schnorcheln. Wir sahen hier ein paar Fische und Schildkröten.
Am Besten gefiel uns der wunderschöne Praia Sancho. Er ist ab 8 Uhr geöffnet, hat oben einen etwa 2 km langen Wanderweg mit tollen Ausblicken, eine schmale Leiter führt zum Strand hinunter. Hier sahen wir beim Schnorcheln viele bunte Fische. Restaurants sind hier ziemlich teuer, in den Supermärkten gibt's nur wenig zu kaufen.

With our sailing boat Margna, an Ovni 435, we arrived today just in time for sunrise at the anchorage in Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. After 10 days and 21 hours we finally made it! We dropped anchor, got the dinghy ready, and we saw the many dolphins in the bay! They come every morning at sunrise! Registered with the harbor master, entry stamp in our passports.
A large part of the island is a national park. To be allowed to enter it, we buy a national park pass. This costs a whopping €70 per person and is always valid for 10 days.
To get to the different places and beaches, there are buses that shuttle back and forth between the harbor and Sueste during the day. A trip always costs 5 Real. Payment is made in cash to the driver.
Even without a pass, you can swim and snorkel on the beach near the harbor, for example. We saw a few fish and turtles here.

We liked the beautiful Praia Sancho the best. It is open from 8 a.m., has a 2 km long hiking trail at the top with great views, and a narrow ladder leads down to the beach. We saw lots of colorful fish here while snorkeling. Restaurants are quite expensive here, and there is very little to buy in the supermarkets.Read more
