Wasserfall Cachoeira do Mosquito

Um 7 Uhr fuhren wir mit dem Mietwagen zum Wasserfall Cachoeira do Mosquito im Nationalpark Chapada Diamantina. Das Tor der Zufahrtsstraße ist ab 8 Uhr geöffnet, Eintritt 60 Real pro Person. Am Parkplatz bewundern wir den Wasserfall von oben. Dann geht es den Wanderweg etwa 20 Minuten nach unten. Viele Besucher werden von einem Guide begleitet, der Weg ist aber einfach zu finden. Wir Baden kurz, dann fängt es an zu regnen und wir steigen auf zum Parkplatz. Die Bar dort ist überdacht. Auf der Rückfahrt liegt quer auf der Piste eine zwei Meter lange Schlange. Gut, dass wir im Auto sitzen!

At 7 a.m. we drove in our rental car to the Cachoeira do Mosquito waterfall in the Chapada Diamantina National Park. The gate to the access road is open from 8 a.m., admission is 60 Real per person. At the parking lot we admire the waterfall from above. Then we walk down the hiking trail for about 20 minutes. Many visitors are accompanied by a guide, but the path is easy to find. We take a quick swim, then it starts to rain and we climb up to the parking lot. The bar there is covered. On the way back there is a two-meter-long snake lying across the track.
