Tomar, beautiful city on the way to Coimbra where the Knights Templar set up residence in the Convent of Christos. We would have liked to have spent more time there exploring.

Had a great time just walking through the streets. Lots of stairs, hills, and cafes that open onto the streets. Music and laughter. Came upon one of Bordelas' art pieces. He recycles rubbish to create Czytaj więcej

Magnificent old university. Had another enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide, which was great. Incredible library. More time needed there
Porto

Porto was great. Lots of hills...again. good training for our Camino. Churches, markets, and of course the most amazing MacDonald's I've ever seen...chandeliers and all. Lots of beautiful blue tiles Czytaj więcej

Arrived early afternoon in rain and cold. Great hotel in good location.
Not as 'frantic' as Portugal. Wide, clean streets......perhaps the evening will see a change in the street activity.

Sarria

Well, we made it. Had some doubtful moments at times😂 bus from Ourense to Sarria was through picturesque mountains. Casa Solance, our home for the next three days is absolutely stunning. Peaceful Czytaj więcej

We have made it to over halfway!! It's been cold and wet, and we are tired at the end of each day. However it hasn't stopped us from stopping for great meals, wines, and beers along the way!!!
