Last day, flying to Paris

A quiet restful day…cloudless morning, and we met Omnia and had churros and chocolate, fresh OJ and coffee in the favourite place near where we used to stay…where you can watch the churros being made, squeezed through a machine and done with great dexterity! So fresh… then we all walked to the park near the royal Palace and sat there and whiled away the time reading.

Set off about midday and walked through plaza de España and up the Gran Via to the basque tapas restaurant where we slowly had drinks and delicious food. Then a walk back to the hotel where we had checked out, but left bags, and picked them up and got the metro to the airport. Very efficient metro ride with only one easy change. Now waiting for flight, so will put this up now, as we won’t get to the hotel in Paris till quite late…and yes Hartley, Amr badly needs a haircut but insisted on waiting until we get home….he’s now all fluffy at the sides like a koala!!
