• Tarkine Drive

After Arthur River we followed the Tarkine drive through some amazing habitats to various natural wonders. It was a lot of driving but well worth it!
Within 5 minutes of leaving we'd seen wombats, wallabies and possums, which Rosie was very excited about! The highlight for me was Lake Chisholm as it felt so unspoilt and we saw our first wild platypus! Rosie did some incredible off-road biking to get to it too! The range of fungi on the rainforest walks was amazing, with colours, sizes and shapes that I've never seen before. The only negative of the drive was seeing huge amounts of logging and mining activity. Hopefully they're getting the balance right between business and nature..Les mer
