    Dublin — Temple Bar

    April 26 in Ireland ⋅ ⛅ 41 °F

After a long day trying to fit in what sightseeing we could, we made our way to the Clayton Hotel at the airport and had a relaxing and reflective dinner together in the pub. There we finished up our trip with a fun photo contest and our last game of Five Crowns. For me, one moment in Fitzgerald’s Pub at lunch will be etched in my memory for some time. We arrived in Ireland after the locals had suffered through their rainiest winter in 50 years, yet we had beautiful weather and just a few drizzles. As we said often during the trip, our Irish family reunion was blessed by those who’ve gone before us, and they were smiling down on us this week. The meaning behind the lyrics of “Weather with You” is that you are responsible for the environment around you — happiness, positive energy, harmony — and I definitely felt that this week, with the help and guidance of Pizzas past and present.Read more
