Lewis & Clark Camp

This leg crossed the Missouri River (massive river) and according to the monuments, was a L&C camp on their way west. There’s no physical representation remaining but Meriwether Lewis’ writings apparently document the location by lat/long.

I got so pumped up after seeing this “camp” that I re-started “Undaunted Courage” - the most accurate history of the trip. Incredible book and a reminder of when we (US Patriots) risked all for this new “experiment” in the first part of the 1800’s, when we were a fledgling country.Lue lisää
