    Day 4 - Seljalandsfoss

    The next waterfall of the day was Seljalandsfoss. The waterfall drops 60m and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Whilst the main waterfall was truly amazing and we got thoroughly soaked behind it, the magic was finding another two waterfalls just a little further down the road. To find one you had to tip toe across stepping stones into a cave, and the other needed a muddy scramble, a little via ferrata and a short climb to get to a ridge that you could sit on and gaze down the length of the water fall. The last two weren't for the faint hearted which is why I guess they don't appear in any travel guides, but they were absolutely stunning.Read more
