    Headed off to Cape Otway, amazing views and history. Climbed the Lighthouse, visited the Telegraph station said to be haunted, keepers quarters and WWII radar bunker. Beautiful National Park 🙂

    Headed off early to beat the predicted rain storms, apparently getting July weather early 🙄 but have been lucky to plan ahead and so far been blessed with the weather being in sync with our walks and sightseeing. Loch Ard Gorge, Razorback, 12 Apostles were spectacular 😁Read more

  • Port Campbell and the Gourmet Trail

    Arrived at Port Campbell, a small little village, with lots of eateries. Took a drive out to the old lookout and watched the surfers brave the weather and surf. The rain came in later this afternoon so we decided to follow the Gourmet Trail inland, visiting Gorge chocolatrie, Apostle Whey Cheeses and more around Timboon. Beautiful countryside, the llamas were feeling a bit soggy too, came home with lots of goodies again for our platters 😁Read more

  • Out early before the rain exploring, this coastline is so rugged, powerful yet beautiful.   • Arrived in Mount Gambier

    Arrived at Mount Gambier and had a couple of hours to get our feel of the place , stopped at The Blue Lake, stunning colour from the limestone, view from the lake and the stone tower. Can't wait to explore more tomorrow, sinkholes, cave gardens, craters and lakes. Love the diversity of this country 😍Read more

    Next headed off to Little Blue Lake, 25mtr shallow point, 47mtrs deepest at a constant 12deg all year round, they have stairs and a swimming platform. The valley lake which iscrater of Centenary Tower and the cave Gardens, a sink-hole that was landscaped by the original owner, Sturt - amazing to walk down into.Read more

    Visited Hahndorf on our way through to Port Adelaide, what a gorgeous little German inspired town. Beautiful buildings, scenery, cafes and shops. Authentic food - sausage, bratwurst, beer and apple strudel. Apple strudel was amazing served warm with fresh cream 🤩 unfortunately for Garry brewery's hadn't opened yet and he was driving so no chance.Read more

    Settled into Port Adelaide for our base for the next few days, an interesting area with an eccletic mix of historical, modern and new development. Visited the lighthouse, buskers / artwork area on the boat harbour. Semaphore jetty and the foreshore this afternoon.     Had lunch and a wander around Victor Harbour, beautiful little town. Saw the horse drawn tram going over to Granite Island. Lots of wineries around McLaren Vale, last stop soak in the view over the bay. Train it into the city tomorrow 😁Read more

    Trained into the city early this morning, 1st stop Central Market, love these produce markets, so much variety, from fresh fruit and vegetables, through to all our European salamis, cheeses, pastries, chocolates, breads, middle Eastern treats too, of course coffee and custard cannoli to start the day. Before heading off to explore the city, north Terrace and River Torrens.Read more

    Long drive today, once hitting the Eyre Highway the roads just keep going straight as far as the eye can see. Lots of salt lakes, long roads but finally hit the start of the coastal areas, stopped into Cowell, Arno Bay and have finally setup here in Tumby Bay, looking forward to exploring the area and chilling a bit 😁🌞Read more
