We made it to Apollo Bay, along the Great Ocean Rd looking through Torquay, Lorne - nice little town, made a friend with a cockatoo in the carpark and lastly Apollo Bay

Gorgeous view from our site, walked to Mariners Lookout on top of the mountain behind us, is on private property, stunning views over Apollo Bay. Walked through rainforest and a steep climb, worth it!
Cape Otway Lightstation

Headed off to Cape Otway, amazing views and history. Climbed the Lighthouse, visited the Telegraph station said to be haunted, keepers quarters and WWII radar bunker. Beautiful National Park 🙂
Port Campbell National Park

PodróżnikBeautiful isn't it, you would've had an amazing view going around the coastline, the coastline and hinterland is so beautiful. We kept at look out for and saw Johanna's too on the way 😁
Port Campbell and the Gourmet Trail

Arrived at Port Campbell, a small little village, with lots of eateries. Took a drive out to the old lookout and watched the surfers brave the weather and surf. The rain came in later this afternoon Czytaj więcej
Exploring the rest of the coast @ Port C

Out early before the rain exploring, this coastline is so rugged, powerful yet beautiful. Visited the Grotto, London Bridge, Schomberg reef and Bay of Martyrs before heading back to do a local walk Czytaj więcej
PodróżnikThe footbridge is behind the cvn pk and the stairs led up to the lookout but it does do a 4.5km loop, I also saw on one of the tracks that the Rail trail down here goes inland to Timboon, beautiful countryside. We also saw the rail trail started right back in East Gippsland up to Dromana and around Point Nepean national Park, but I have seen rail trail marked alot in Vic, heaps of people hiking or cycling 🙂
PodróżnikThe landscape is amazing along the Great Ocean Road. I thought you would have a cold day down there today with the cold front moving across. Hopefully the weather improves soon. Get to the shower first Kel, before the hot water runs out.
PodróżnikYep, already have, ha ha. 1st in the shower, cool day with showers ripping in, so fortunate though to do everything we wanted to and stay dry. Hope you guys are well 🙂 head off to Mount Gambier tomorrow for 2 nights

Arrived at Mount Gambier and had a couple of hours to get our feel of the place , stopped at The Blue Lake, stunning colour from the limestone, view from the lake and the stone tower. Can't wait to Czytaj więcej
PodróżnikMount Gambier is an interesting place. I’m pleased the weather is fine - more pleasant to explore in the sunshine.
PodróżnikAlso love the heritage buildings, crazy thinking about some of the volcano's are lying dormant while speaking with the locals, looking for to exploring more tomorrow. Down to a cool 2 deg tonight but clear and no wind, beautiful!

PodróżnikNo, we've spoken to a couple of guys fishing with pipis and unfortunately its mainly carp, which are a pest a only nibble off bait, Garry reckons he doesn't want to show them up 🤣 but very peaceful sitting here watching, its so quiet here, not much wind, beautiful 🥰
