Austria

When we were researching things to do in Austria, we couldn't help but notice the photographs of the stunning Town of Hallstatt. The town is situated in the Austrian Alps and went viral online from all the beautiful pictures social media users posted there.
We were picked up outside of the Vienna Opera house and travelled by bus as part of a tour. Along the way, the tour guide, Lily told us about famous historical figures from Austria such as Mozart and Sisi ( the bus travelled through a town called Bad Ischle were Sisi and Franz met and got engaged).

After several stops along the way at an overpriced service station and a small castle, we finally arrived!

We had 3 hours in Hallstatt in total. After eating Snitzel and fish for lunch, we went over to the famous spot where the most beautiful photographs were taken. There were many tourists there and surprisingly, a lot of Taiwanese!

After snapping some photos, we walked up to the Catholic church. There is an old tradition in Hallstatt where people are buried in the cemetery and then about 15 years later after they are fully decomposed, they are dug up and the bones are put on display! Unfortunately the Museum of bones was closed however we did manage to sneak Bruce's phone over the door and get a blurred photo of some skulls! I asked the tour guide if this tradition is still practiced；she said that the last time this happened was in 1980's.

On the way back to the bus, we found a vending machine selling bottles of Hallstatt air for €10!!! It's amazing what people will spend their money on!

Sadly our time in Hallstatt was up! We got the bus back to Vienna and Lily played some famous classical music along the way!Baca lagi
