When hot water comes out of the cold tap

So we are visiting jaisalmer in the off season (which I love) but it means its around 45deg at the hottest part of the day, and the minimum is 31deg. You desperately want a cold shower but only warm/hot water comes out of the cold tap! Tonight we walked around and up the jaisalmer fort for some great views of the city.
