    An all-black town settled in the free lands of Kansas in the spring of 1877.
    When the railroad went south instead of through the town in 1888 many people left.

    There are five historic buildings in the town that "are physical expressions of the five pillars that continue to anchor African American communities today".

    Very interesting. Very hot. But no humidity makes it bearable. 😀
