    Next stop....Vegas!!

    Had to catch a flight to Houston and then onto Viva Las Vegas!! Our bags were pretty much right on weight expect one bag so god help us with shopping st the outlets. With the time difference we gained 3 hours which was handy.
    Once we arrived at Planet Hollywood, we dumped our bags and off we went to explore the Strip.
    First stop Bellagio to check out the pretty flowers and chocolate fountain. Then a walk though Caesars Palace. A quick stop at Fat Tuesdays for a frozen daiquiri before getting ready to head off to see Human Nature. Then it was off to the Venetian with a mad dash to make it in time - the walk was a bit further than we thought. The show was great!! Time for a gondola ride which was pretty cute - Sarah said it was better than the back alley she did in the real Venice. We were hungry by this time so stopped to visit Cake Boss Buddy’s restaurant for dinner which was delicious!!
    We had scored free tickets to Omnia nightclub but the line was out the door of the hotel and a looooooong way along the footpath so we bailed for bed.    Baca lagi

    Day 2=Shopping

    Today was shopping at the north outlets which definitely hurt our bank accounts and suitcase limits! But we had s great day, buying presents for ourselves and others too!!
    Cheesecake Factory was lunch and it was on our list of to dos and Sarah hadn’t been before! We shared nachos and some chicken sliders. Yummy!!
    We had tickets to Magic Mike so we made our way to Hard Rock Hotel for that! Had some nice cocktails and fun on the pokies as well.
    We got free tickets to 1Oak nightclub at the Mirage and scored 2 free drinks too. Music was pretty average unfortunately    Baca lagi

    Day 3 in Vegas=more walking

    We made our way down the south end today. First stop NewYork NewYork!! More pokies were played with Sarah winning $112 (the best of the trip). We went on the rollercoaster twice - once normal & the second time with a virtual reality headset on which was something different! Played some arcade games as well.
    Ventured further down to Excalibur where we found a weird horse racing betting game. Then onto the Luxor & caught the monorail to Mandalay Bay. Here we went to the minus 5 bar (ice bar) which was so much fun! We headed thongs on, they gave us this massive fur coats and we got to drink out of ice glasses. We lasted less than half hour but it was great fun!
    Onto MGM where we watched a preview for a new show which was okay. And my thongs broke :( and do you think I could find a new pair of havaianas??!!
    We got tickets to ‘O’, the cirque de Soleil show at the Bellagio! The performers were great but who knows what the hell the story was about 🤷🏻‍♀️ Some more pokies played and then we went across the road to the Chateau nightclub halfway up the Eiffel Tower which was fun!    Baca lagi

    Grand Canyon

    The morning started off with a bit more shopping at the Miracle Mike shops underneath our hotel and a spot of lunch at Earl of Sandwich.
    And then we were off on a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. It was great! About a 40minute ride each way and we got to land in the Canyon, have a glass of champagne and take some photos!
    Once we were back at the strip we went for a ride on Zipline number 2 for the trip. From the Linq hotel down one of the walkways just off the strip. We did this super man style, so lying on our stomach rather than sitting. It was pretty quick and didn’t compare to the Niagara Falls one, but still fun.
    In & out burger it was for dinner then a quick trip to the south outlets to grab the last few things on our shopping lists.    Baca lagi

    Morning of Bravery

    This morning it was time to be brave and adventurous....or maybe just stupid.
    We taxied it down to the Stratosphere hotel at the North end of the strip to check out the rides on top! We went on Xscream & Insanity. The first one I was fine on even sitting in the front, but the second was still scary but not as bad as last time I went on it. We also spent some time on the observation deck checking out the great view!
    Then we headed off to the Range702 to shoot some guns which was pretty cool. And then back to Caesars Palace for lunch at Karmines. An Italian restaurant that this guy from Chicago (one of the bachelors US’ dads) had recommended to try in NYC but we ran out of time. The food was delicious but massive!!!
    Made our way back to the hotel watching the Bellagio fountain show on the way, before picking up our rental car for tomorrow. I drove to Old Vegas - it was a bit scary at first. It wasn’t too weird driving on the left side of the car but it was driving on the right side of the road! But we made it there alive without an accident!!! We walked down Fremont St and then went on the Zipline! It was great!! Super man style - Slotzilla as its known, is 11 stories high and 5 blocks long!    Baca lagi

    Road Trip

    Up at 5;30 to start making our way to Los Angeles! Lucky Sarah was there to help pack the car cause I would have been hopeless trying to fit all the bags inside We had to make a pit stop at the Vegas sign cause we still hadn’t seen it!! Sarah started off the driving and drove halfway. The road was nice and fairly straight, lots of lanes. Few cars on the road but not overwhelming! I had a cat nap whilst passenger and when we switched it was Sarah’s turn to nap. We had fun listening to music as it had been so long since we’d sat long enough to!
    Once we got closer to Anaheim I was very grateful for the GPS - there’s a lot of exits and multiple lanes for each exit!    Baca lagi

    Disney Part 1

    We made it to the hotel and parked the car there and then walked down to Disneyland!!!! First stop was California Adventure Park where we went on Guardians of the Galaxy ride (which used to be the Tower of Terror), Monsters Inc, the swinging chairs. It started taining so it was time to make the poncho purchase! then the scariest ride of all Disney rides!! The bloody Ferris wheel with swinging Gondolas! Next up the Incredicoaster. Then it was off the CarsLand where we went on the tipping tractor ride. The other cars ride was a 2 hour wait so we decided to go in the Single Riders line and we were on and off in 25 minutes 😱😱😱 the ride was great fun! The last ride here was toy story mania - the shooting game where of course I lost again!Baca lagi

    Hopper Pass

    Time to hop on over to Disneyland Park. Still raining so ponchos still on but we were #winning because quite a few people had gone home by this point.

    Sleeping beauty’s castle doesn’t compare to Cinderella’s in Orlando - much smaller so hasn’t quite got that wow factor. I’ve made Sarah a Disney snob!! The staff aren’t as happy or friendly and hasn’t got that overload of Disney like Orlando. We went on Buzz Lightyear shooting ride and I won this one! 🥳 Watched a preview of Toy Story 4, Matterhorn bobsleds, Peter Pan, Snow White, big thunder railroad, haunted mansion & Indiana Jones! We were those people who went on Splash Mountain with ponchos! It was cold and we were sooks!!    Baca lagi

    Hop on & off bus fun

    We sat on the top of the bus for at least 25 minutes waiting for it to take off. You thought the bus driver might have told us that he would t be leaving for that long when we got on - anyways - we sweated our asses off and eventually got where we needed to goBaca lagi

    Six Flags

    Today we were visiting the big kids theme park with the big ass roller coasters!
    Off to six flags we went. How we wished we had planned it better as it was Memorial Day weekend. The line to get into the car park was long and we had to walk a mile back to to entrance after parking. The security line was long and then the line to buy tickets was long. We ended up buying them on our phones.
    Once we got inside even the toilet line was long!
    By this time it was midday! We were going to have to leave at 4 to return the car back but we ended up extending the time so we could enjoy the park!
    The first ride we went on ‘Revolution was pretty tame only going upside down the once. The next ride, the Viper had 7!!! Inversions. Next up the Superman which takes off really fast and goes up a vertical pole like the tower of terror at Dreamworld - but little did we know it went backwards!! Which believe it or not was less scary 😂
    The riddlers revenge was next, it just looked like a rollercoaster that went upside down a lot so we lined up. After about 20 mins we were watching it a bit more closely and saw that you actually stand up while you ride! It was crAzy!! We still did it and again wasn’t as scary as you would think!
    Last up was the Tatsu! Which you pretty much ride upside down the whole time - like you sit in the harness like normal to begin and then it turns so your facing the ground - kinda like the super man Zipline! We had lined up for 90minutes and we watch riders in front of us come back, and then the harnesses wouldn’t unlock and they were stuck there! Sarah was less than impressed, but we had waited so long that we had to go on it. So we waited for then to fix it and all was ah-okay. And it was awesome!
    After a shitty slow start to the day, we had fun riding the scary rides! We made our way back to LA with a stop by at Griffith Observatory with magnificent views!
    After spending an hour or so here without even realising, we headed to our hotel at Santa Monica. It’s late, we’re tired, we just wanna go to bed - we head inside to reception and they tell us they’ve had to move us to another hotel because there was some kind of accident, a car had driven into the hotel and there was no water. At least it was only 5 minutes away! When we got there, it was a Hilton hotel so we were more than happy with that!    Baca lagi
