• If you are going to San Francisco 🌸🌁🚎

4 nights in Santa Rosa fairgrounds made a perfect home base to explore San Francisco. The first day we hung around Santa Rosa and did some "back to school" shopping for the kids! Everyone was happy with their new Target duds and new sneakers!
First day in San Fran we explored Golden Gate Park and walked over Golden Gate bridge (half way)! We had a nice paddle boat ride around the pond in the park and hiked up Strawberry Hill to see great views of the city and GG Bridge. We had a quick pizza bite and Ubered up to Golden Gate bridge. San Fran was a stop on our honeymoon but we never made it up to the bridge so it was on both our lists! The fog held off to give us great views and made for an easy walk to the half way point. On the way back we stopped at a concert in the park where Willow wowed some spectators with her dance moves! Of course no trip would be complete without taking a spin down one of the windiest roads in the world, Lombard St. We even got some applause after we made it down successfully with the dually.
Our second day in SF we took the ferry from Lakespur to the Port of San Fran. This was a great location to explore Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Dada and the kids hopped into a Waymo self driving car for quick access to the pier. Everyone was amazed by the ride! We had chowder in a bread bowl for lunch and checked out the Sea Lions before heading to Alcatraz. William was most excited about this stop! Once we got off the ferry we did a ranger guided tour where we learned about some of the less famous prisoners on the island. After we all took in the self guided audio tour! Lots of great history and interesting facts to learn. After a long day we stopped at Chili's in Santa Rosa for a well deserved bite to eat!
