Passport Privilege

Got a glimpse of what it must feel like to have a passport that doesn’t get you places without a visa… and it’s not fun. Checking in for my next flight the staff were insistent that I needed a visa to enter Qatar (my next short stop). I knew I didn’t (not that I’m a know it all, I got that info directly from the Qatar website). They initially denied me boarding, so I went away, did some googling and came back with evidence to show I didn’t need a visa (and quietly started a visa application just in case).

This time they agreed with me (after I did the equivalent of hanging up and calling back later to get a new staff member). With boarding pass in hand I continued to live my privileged life, taking it up a notch by using the business class private security and immigration.
