Conway Flat

We moved on to Conway Flat and were excited to see one of Whale Watch boats very close to shore, in one of the bays, so we quickly pulled in and were absolutely chuffed to bits to see a whale. Our first time! We watched for an hour before reluctantly moving on. What a thrill though! They're elusive, quick animals and we were too busy being excited to get photos so no actual evidence, sadly.
Conway Flat POP is on a cliff above a large expanse of ocean and this, our second time here, reinforced what a wonderful place it is despite the wild weather on both occasions. We donned our wet weather gear and carried umbrellas for our walk this morning, being careful to dodge the evidence of the large mob of Black Angus cows and calves that went before us. Getting the laundry dry has been tricky but that's life on the road some days....I don't like using a dryer! Czytaj więcej
