Ao Nang Beach Day

Our first wake up in Ao Nang and thankfully we've managed to get a refund on one night's accommodation so we're here for 4 nights instead of 5. We've managed to go way over budget down to expensive food and drinks today. We started with a nice but expensive breakfast before heading to the beach. The beach has no sun beds and as my towel was in the wash after Tom' s beer spillage we had to share a towel. We found some sun cream which was in Thai but stated Spf 30 and it was only 100 baht compared to 500 that we've been seeing so we thought we had a bargain. We spent the day sunbathing and swimming and went to a beach bar for lunch (expensive again!) and when it was time to leave, we realised we had both burnt! (Tom worse than me considering he doesn't think he needs suncream on his legs). We picked up our laundry, which again, more than we've been paying and I went for a foot scrub which wasn't the best at getting rid of my hard skin. As we'd gone so over budget we didn't have a late one, we had a meal, stopped for a drink and picked up bits from 7/11 before heading back to the hostel.Read more
