    Brrrrr il fait tellement froid dehors 🥶.
    Nous avons grimpé sur la " montagne " et plus nous montons, plus il fait froid.
    La journée d'aujourd'hui a été longue, alors nous allons nous coucher et commencer le voyage frais et dispo demain.

    El Teide National Park

    Voici les photos de l’ascension et la descente jusqu’à l’Auberge de El Teide National Park.
    Les 2-3 premiers kms étaient faciles mais pour ce qui est des 5-6kms restant jusqu’en haut, c’était quelque peu difficile !
    Bon, on sait tous que je n’ai pas la meilleure condition physique qui soit 😅 mais là… les chemins pentus en gravillons et l’altitude n’ont pas aidé mon cas 😅
    Quoi qu’il en soit, je l’ai fait ! On l’a fait !! Et on a donc marché 16kms aller/retour pour voir ces paysages !! ☺️
    Sinon on aurait aussi pu prendre le téléférique, mais on est pas des petites lopettes nous 🤪

    Here are the pictures of the ascent and the descent to the El Teide National Park Auberge.
    The first 2-3kms were easy but as for the remaining 5-6kms to the top, it was somewhat challenging!
    Well, we all know I'm not in the best physical condition 😅 but here... the steep gravel roads and the altitude didn't help my case 😅
    Either way, I did it! We did it!!! And so we walked 16kms round trip to see these landscapes!!! ☺️

    2nd camp site

    Ce fût plutôt compliqué jusqu’ici parce qu’on se dirigeait vers un nouveau point d’intérêt, et comme il était déjà tard, j’ai voulu 2 fois qu’on aille voir un parking qui se trouvait sur l’app « camp4night »…
    Sauf que ces 2 parkings étaient pourris et à nos yeux n’avaient rien à voir avec des parkings où dormir !
    On a donc repris la route vers notre point d’intérêt et on s’est arrêtés ici.
    La route jusqu’ici était HORRIBLE ! De toutes petites routes toutes étroites hyper pentues…
    Et nous roulons avec un vieux campervan qui peine à monter 😱😨

    It was rather complicated until now because we were heading towards a new point of interest, and as it was already late, I wanted 2 times that we went to see a parking lot which was on the app "camp4night"...
    Except that these 2 parking lots were not good at all and in our eyes had nothing to do with parking where to sleep!
    We thus took again the road towards our point of interest and stopped here for the night.
    The road until here was HORRIBLE! It was very small roads all narrow and steep...

    On voulait aller à la cascade de Barranco de Chidia… Je n’ai jamais eu aussi peur de toute ma vie.
    Le GPS nous a fait passer par des toutes petites routes sinueuses en terre et gravillons sur plus de 10kms. Arrivés à 2,8kms de la cascade, on se retrouve devant une barrière fermée…
    On peut maintenant faire demi tour par la même route, mais en descente 😨
    On voulait de l’aventure, on a eu de l’aventure 😰

    We wanted to go to the Barranco de Chidia waterfall... I have never been so scared in my entire life.
    The GPS made us pass by very small winding roads made of mud and gravel for more than 10kms. At 2,8kms of the waterfall, we found ourselves in front of a closed gate...
    We can now go all the way back from where we came from by the same road, but in descent 😨

    On ne vous a pas dit, mais lors de notre première journée, quand on a fait l’ascension et la descente de El Teide, on a quelque peut cramé nos bras, mains, visage, et Gaëtan aussi sa nuque…
    On a donc acheté en pharmacie une crème spéciale pour les brûlures.
    Malheureusement, le soleil ici est bien plus agressif que dans de nombreux endroits, et le soleil peut même brûler à travers les nuages. On doit depuis 2 jours se protéger un maximum du soleil et on doit rester en pantalons et longues manches le temps d’être guéris…
    C’est pourquoi on a passé la journée dans les bois, au frais, et a l’abris du soleil.
    On espère être rétablis rapidement pour pouvoir profiter un maximum de tous les endroits qu’on voudrait explorer sans craindre le soleil.

    We did not tell you, but during our first day, when we made the ascent and the descent of El Teide, we burned our arms, hands, face, and Gaëtan also his neck...
    So we bought in a pharmacy a special cream for the burns.
    Unfortunately, the sun here is much more aggressive than in many places, and the sun can even burn through the clouds. We’ve had to protect ourselves from the sun for 2 days, and must wear pants and long sleeves until we’re healed...
    That's why we spent the day in the woods, in the cool, and sheltered from the sun.

    Après s’être réveillés dans le froid des montagnes et avoir passé la journée à se LAVER (enfin !! 😝 … On est aller demander pour se laver dans un centre sportif avec piscine, et le monsieur n’était pas enchanté mais nous a quand même laissés prendre une douche ! Ouf !), puis avoir été à la wasserette pour laver nos uniques vêtements chauds, avoir été manger un petit truc dans un « resto » Vegan, et avoir fait quelques petits courses, nous avons repris la route !
    Malheureusement, toute la route vers le nord dans les montagnes boisées, était brumeuse, et nous n’avons pas pu nous arrêter aux différents miradors pour prendre des photos. Nous voici maintenant hors de ces montagnes, et voilà la première vue que nous avons pu voir aujourd’hui ☺️.

    After waking up in the cold of the mountains and having spent the day to WASH ourselves (finally!! 😝 ... We went and asked to wash ourselves in a sports center with swimming pool,… the man was not delighted but still let us take a shower! Phew!), then having been to the laundromat to wash our only warm clothes, having been to eat a little something in a Vegan "restaurant", and having made some grocery shopping, we took the road again!
    Unfortunately, all the way north in the wooded mountains was foggy, and we couldn't stop at the different viewpoints to take pictures. We are now out of those mountains, and this is the first view we saw today ☺️.    Læs mere

    On ne s’en ira pas d’ici sans avoir été explorer les alentours 😁!
    Du coup on s’est garés en haut de la ruelle au seul endroit plus ou moins plat, et on dormira là cette nuit !
    Hâte de découvrir ce que c’est endroit a à offrir demain ☺️

    Tamadite

    Alors on voulait aller voir la playa del Tamadite. On avait un peu plus de 2kms à pieds pour y arriver, alors on est partis tout motivés en se disant “ça va, 2kms… on y sera vite ☺️”… Mais bien sûr 😅 On est JAMAIS vite nulle part à Tenerife ! On a parcouru un sentier super difficile, avec des montées et des descentes, dans la chaleur, et le bonheur de la transpiration…
    Tout ça pour arriver à une plage qui, restons honnêtes, n’était pas le plus agréable de toutes 😅. Les paysages tout au long du sentier étaient bien plus jolis.
    On s’est donc épuisés et salis à nouveau, mais heureusement, on a pu trouver un robinet d’eau (tempérée) là où on avait laissé la voiture, et on s’est rafraîchis ☺️
    On est à nouveau tout propres !

    So we wanted to check out the playa del Tamadite. We just had a 2kms walk to get there, so we set off all motivated, thinking "that's fine, 2kms... we'll be there in no time ☺️"... Yeah right 😅 You NEVER get anywhere fast in Tenerife! We covered a super-difficult trail, with climbs and descents, in the heat, and the bliss of perspiration...
    All this to arrive at a beach which, let's be honest, wasn't the most pleasant of all 😅. The scenery all along the trail was much prettier.
    So we got exhausted and dirty again, but fortunately, we were able to find a (temperate) water tap where we'd left the car, and refreshed ourselves ☺️

    On a trouvé ce petit endroit parfait près d’un mignon petit cimetière au bout d’une petite rue sans issue.
    On a pu se poser tranquillement pour faire nos pâtes, et Gaëtan a pu se rincer un peu au robinet du cimetière.

    Playa de Roque Bermejo

    Cette plage, on l’aura BIEN méritée !
    On a “descendu” 3,2kms sur un sentier sinueux qui montait et descendait.
    Le chemin était très épuisant et il faisait très chaud… Surtout qu’on porte toujours des manches longues au soleil.
    Arrivés en-bas, on a été agréablement surpris par la plage, les rochers, et le petit village au milieu de nulle part.
    Les gens qui y vivent sont reclus du monde et font tout en bateau.
    Il y même une famille qui y vend des canettes de coca, fanta, des bières ou de l’eau 😅.
    On a profité des rochers, Gaëtan s’est baigné et ensuite on a voulu remonter par le phare car on pensait que le chemin serait plus facile 😂😂😂 Combien de fois vais-je devoir me répéter à moi-même que RIEN n’est jamais facile à Tenerife ? 😂 On a fait 4,2kms essentiellement en montées super droites… et on commençait vraiment à peter un plomb parce qu’il faisait chaud, il n’y avait pas beaucoup d’ombre, et on ne faisait que monter… On est arrivés en haut de la montagne… et ensuite on a juste eu un peu moins de 1km en plat et descente…
    On est ensuite retournés au cimetière où nous avions passé la nuit, pour nous laver au robinet… QUEL BONHEUR !! On était en nage, c’était dégoûtant ! 😬

    We earned this beach!
    We "descended" 3.2kms on a winding path that went up and down.
    The path was very exhausting and it was very hot... Especially as we always wear long sleeves in the sun.
    When we got down there, we were pleasantly surprised by the beach, the rocks and the little village in the middle of nowhere.
    The people who live here are recluses, doing everything by boat.
    There's even a family selling cans of coke, fanta, beer and water 😅.
    We enjoyed the rocks, Gaëtan went for a swim and then we wanted to go back up by the lighthouse because we thought the way would be easier 😂😂😂 How many times do I have to repeat to myself that NOTHING is ever easy in Tenerife? 😂 We did 4.2kms mostly on straight climbs... and we were really starting to blow a fusé because it was hot, there wasn't much shade, and we were just going uphill... We got to the top of the mountain... and then we just had a little less than 1km of flat and downhill....
    We then went back to the cemetery where we'd spent the night, to wash up at the tap... WHAT A BLESSING!!! We were swimming in our sweat, it was disgusting! 😬    Læs mere

    On va à nouveau essayer de longer la TF-24 pour les points de vue d’El Teide parce que quand on a essayé l’autre jour, il y avait du brouillard et on ne voyait rien.
    On s’est donc arrêtés ici dans les bois pour passer la nuit.
