• Interview at Radio Bath, then Heathrow

    September 23 in England ⋅ ☁️ 16 °C

Simon picked up us from our AirBnB, and SOMEHOW we miraculously all fit into his compact car with all our luggage!

We drove to his radio station Radio Bath, although he called it his self-sustaining charity that happens to use radio as the medium. He recorded an interview with Eric (with Abby & Joe jumping in - obviously not me with my voice restriction). It will be great fun to see how he edits it down to a 15-min segment that he'll then play for his listeners.

The place has an upper floor, which Simon hopes to convert to a podcast studio, a green screen, and a classroom, so different educational charities can bring youth in and expose them to media creation. Really, it's a brilliant idea.

We caught the next train to London Paddington (and a nap), where we snagged lunches at the station's Sainsbury grocery. A sandwich or wrap, a snack (crisps), and a drink, all for £3.50 each! Gobbled them up in the station's waiting area and then hopped on the Heathrow express. 20 min later, we were at Terminal 2, looking for our airport hotel. It's a bit pricey, but we can just walk to the terminal for our flight tomorrow.
