Decided to visit Hamburg after all and was not disappointed. Elphi concert hall and St. Nicholas church remains were Brilliant. Great Italian dinner in Quickborn.

Day 21: Grasten to Odense via Kolding

Visited a bunker displaying landscape created by the ice age. At Kolding we realised we were there on Liberation Day. Went to the Gastapo museum and stood in the last existing Gestapo cell.

Day 21: Kolding to Odense

Drove to Billund (photos of Legoland for Cameron) through Middelfart (spelled correctly) and camped at Odense. Crossed our first major bridge.
Day 22: Odense to Malmo

Hoofed it along the freeways. Wanted to get to Malmo and Eurovision. Went over the two toll bridges. One was 20 km long and started underwater. Freaky.

Enjoyed our last day shopping in Malmo. Drove to Trelleborg to see some Viking ruins. Headed back to Copenhagen via the coast road at sunset. Enjoyed dinner and beers and music with Peter at Peter’sLæs mere

Discovered the botanical gardens with a miniature replica of the entire town as it existed in 1860. Got some kms under our belt but didn’t make Berlin yet, discovering lovely towns and pubs on theLæs mere

Walked around where we stayed and replenished supplies. Tried the highway but that’s no fun so hit the less used roads and country towns. Did our washing before settling in the outskirts of Berlin.
