Day 16: Rijksmuseum

Rembrandt; Van Gogh; Vermeer and more.
Day 16: Amsterdam canal ride

So much history and amazing buildings.
Day 16: Tulip fields to Hinderdam.

We stuffed a lot in today.
Day 17: Holocaust Museum

This place only opened in May. 80 years overdue. Learned so much. Some images I could not watch.
Day 17: Anne Frank Huis.

Maybe 2 significant museums in one day wasn’t well thought through. Very emotional.
Day 17: Hinderdam to Zwolle.

After two days in Amsterdam it was time to move on. Stayed overnight in the first non-secret RV friendly town, Zwolle. This town was the first where people smiled directly at you and said hello first.もっと詳しく
Day 18: Zwolle to Rotenburg.

Zwolle is my favourite place so far. Very welcoming. Stayed longer than initially intended. Had a drink in a few small German towns. Contrast over the border was immediate. Was gonna go to Bremen butもっと詳しく
Day 19: Rotenburg to Kaltenkirchen

Decided to visit Hamburg after all and was not disappointed. Elphi concert hall and St. Nicholas church remains were Brilliant. Great Italian dinner in Quickborn.
Day 20: Kaltenkirchin to Grasten.

Day 20: Graston

Lovely stop and parking spot at Grasten.
Day 21: Grasten to Odense via Kolding

Visited a bunker displaying landscape created by the ice age. At Kolding we realised we were there on Liberation Day. Went to the Gastapo museum and stood in the last existing Gestapo cell.
Day 21: Koldinghaus.

Our first castle! Original home of the Kings of Denmark now a museum.
Day 21: Kolding to Odense

Drove to Billund (photos of Legoland for Cameron) through Middelfart (spelled correctly) and camped at Odense. Crossed our first major bridge.
Day 22: Odense to Malmo

Hoofed it along the freeways. Wanted to get to Malmo and Eurovision. Went over the two toll bridges. One was 20 km long and started underwater. Freaky.

Bought merch at the Euro village and made some new friends from the UK and Sweden and partied all night with them. Neil Mathur was a kindred spirit.

Can’t believe I’m here. Loved it. Met new friends again from UK and an expat dressed up in a kangaroo onesie. Acts were fkn fantastic.

Day 24: Malmo to Copenhagen

Enjoyed our last day shopping in Malmo. Drove to Trelleborg to see some Viking ruins. Headed back to Copenhagen via the coast road at sunset. Enjoyed dinner and beers and music with Peter at Peter’sもっと詳しく
Day 25: Copenhagen to Kolding

Spent a lovely day in Copenhagen. Walked the round tower. Hoofed it to the Viking ship museum. I also visited an art gallery while Graham was reading Viking material. More drinks in Middlefart.もっと詳しく
Day 26: Kolding to Schonberg

Discovered the botanical gardens with a miniature replica of the entire town as it existed in 1860. Got some kms under our belt but didn’t make Berlin yet, discovering lovely towns and pubs on theもっと詳しく
Day 27: Schonberg to Berlin

Walked around where we stayed and replenished supplies. Tried the highway but that’s no fun so hit the less used roads and country towns. Did our washing before settling in the outskirts of Berlin.
