Hiking Colca Canyon Day 2

This was probably the most demanding and exhausting hike I've ever done!
At 4.45am we started our hike - without breakfast 😯 This time, we had to hike up the canyon and the path was very steep up until the end to the top. After 3 hours of sweating and pushing my limits, the top was finally reached and breakfast was waiting.

Day 2: 5km, 1100(!) hm

After the hike we relaxed our muscles in natural hot springs (heated from a volcano) and on the drive back we even drove through snow.

We were a pretty mixed group with people from the US, England, Iceland, New Zealand, Ireland and Germany. I also met probably the craziest hippie ever - this American girl hiked the whole 2 days up and down the canyon on very sharp stones barefoot!En savoir plus
