Day 4: Antas to Viana do Costelo

Rrrrg, I suspected I wasn't going to be able to keep up very well with updates on this. Ah, well . . .

We did another 10 mile walk on this day and reached Albergue Santa Luzia, sitting right next to the Cathedral Santa Luzia, majestically perched at the top of a hill in Viana do Costelo . . . via a 660 step staircase. We survived and made it!

The route we took was all inland, through small towns, an estuary, and stretches of beautiful woodland trails. Near the end, begore coming to our 660 steps to the albergue, we cross over the Rio Lima on a large bridge, busy with both foot and car traffic.Leggi altro
