    Koh Samui

    July 18, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

Probably the nicest island we went to in Thailand as the sand was so white and the sea so blue. Here we treated ourselves to a resort for Alice’s bday which was so nice to have some luxury. We went out every night at the Ark Bar and Green Mango and then spent the day relaxing on the beach. We also got a tuk tuk to the fisherman’s village in north of the island which was really nice.Read more

    Phi Phi Island

    July 13, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ 🌙 25 °C

Phi Phi is such a beautiful island. The sea is turquoise and the sand is white. Here we hired a boat and went to various points on the island to snorkel, went to monkey beach to see the monkeys and went to see maya bay (the beach from the film the beach!) However one of my friends Millie stepped on a sea urchin here so this trip ended in the hospital! We also went to the viewpoint at the top of the island and the view was amazing! At night we partied on the beach which included fire shows and we cheered england on in the football.Read more

    Bangkok

    July 10, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

Brief visit to Bangkok. During the day we visited the temple of the reclining buddha and then went to the MBK center to buy some clothes. We travelled around Bangkok by tuk tuk which was really fun! At night we partied on Ko San Road which was crazy, the whole street was full of backpackers and sellers trying to sell you the most random things. I tried a scorpion which was disgusting. The next day we woke up early to fly to the thai islands.Read more

    Chiang Mai

    July 9, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

We only spent a brief 1 day & night in Chiang Mai but long enough to go to the elephant sanctuary which was an amazing experience. We got to feed, wash in mud & then clean in a waterfall the elephants. At one point the baby charged at me which was a bit scary though! We went to the Sunday night market which is really famous but it poured the whole time so we didn’t stay long.Read more

    Pai

    July 7, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Definitely one of our favourite places we have been on the whole trip. It’s a small town in Northern Thailand which has one main street that is pedestrianised and full of market stores. We rented mopeds and rode to different waterfalls and sites like the white buddha. At night we bar hopped down the roads and the town was full of backpackers so met so many nice people.Read more

    Mekong River

    July 4, 2018 in Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

We spent 2 days on a slow boat along the Mekong river. Overnight we stayed in a homestay which was so interesting to learn about the village’s culture and play with the children. We then crossed the border into Thailand and on the way to Chiang Mai we stopped off at Chiang Rai in order to see the white temple which was amazing!! The white shiny tiles reflected off the sun and it looked like it was glistening.Read more

    Luang Prabang

    July 3, 2018 in Laos ⋅ ⛅ 32 °C

The best waterfall I have ever seen is in Luang Prabang. The water is so blue!!! However we did see a snake in the water so no one went back in after that !!! All the bars shut at 11 here so all the backpackers end up in a bowling alley as it’s the only place where you can get drinks!

  • Day80

    Vang Vieng

    June 30, 2018 in Laos ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

Here consisted of a lot of partying. During the day we did bar tubing which is where you tube down the river but stop off at bars on the way, very fun! Vang Vieng is a small village surrounded by mountains so the scenery is amazing ! We barely took any photos here though.

    Vientiane

    June 28, 2018 in Laos ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

Arrived in Laos after a short flight from Hanoi. We’re now on a group tour for 12 days with 15 other people. In Vientiane we hired tuk tuks and visited a lot of buddhist temples. We’re also now staying in a hotel which has a really nice pool so we did some sunbathing, thank god it’s not as hot as Vietnam!!Read more
