    St. Emmeram's is an over-the-top Baroque church whose ornamentation defies the imagination. One of the saints depicted in an ancient painting is St. Wolfgang, teacher of William II, the founder of the German nation. It houses a Benedictine monastery founded in 739 AD. It is built on the site of the grave of Emmeram, a Frankish bishop.Read more
