Kirkjubaejarklaustur and Hotel Laki

We were the only car on the road, and it was getting dark and cold, so I decided to go straight to the Hotel Laki rather than going to see a portion of Skaftafell National Park. Primitive on the outside, the Hotel Laki's interior is all modern Scandinavian decor. We had a lovely dinner of vegetable lasagna, and Italian wine, finished with strawberry ice cream and coffee. We chatted with an Icelandic family on vacation seated at the next table then photographed each other.
