    We went to St. Mark's Cathedral at night for a presentation by Art Historian Susan. She began the program in total darkness, giving an account of the retrieval of the body of St. Mark from Muslim Alexandria in Egypt. Then at the appointed time, all of the lights of the cathedral illuminated the golden domes inside. She was careful to tell us that if it looked like gold, it was gold.
