    Far more beautiful than the Duomo on the inside, the Church of Santa Croce is the site of the tombs of some of the most famous sons of Italy. It holds the remains of artists and inventors as diverse as Michaelangelo, Enrico Fermi, and even Nicolo Machiavelli.
