• Last Meal in Japan

As a way to ease back into western culture after three weeks in Japan, Chuck and I walked up to a McDonald’s about 3/10 of a mile from our hotel for an egg McMuffin. I had heard that the McDonald’s in Japan were wonderful and I can attest to the fact that their shrimp burger is the best shrimp sandwich I’ve ever had. Our egg McMuffins were wonderful, and so much better than the ones we get in the United States. Every employee was courteous and helpful as we negotiated ordering and figuring out how to pay. McDonald’s in Japan is based on four principles.: quality, service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Those principles are posted on each paper placemat and in the store. At both McDonald’s that I’ve been to in Japan, the writing on the wall suggests that eating at McDonald’s is a child’s weekly reward for being good. In a few hours, we will head to the airport to begin the long journey home from Narita to Los Angeles and then on to Charlotte, North Carolina. It has been a wonderful journey, but we are ready to go home and enjoy our house and our backyard.Baca lagi
