Searching for Geronimo

General Black Jack Pershing spent much of the early 20th century looking for Geronimo, the Apache Indian chief in Arizona. We spent this afternoon looking for Saint Geronimo and his church in Lisbon. Glenda and I had visited there before but our friends had not. An Uber took us to the church where we found a ticket line wrapped around the block. No way we were gonna get in today!

So we went across the street and showed them the wonderful monument to all of the Portuguese explorers. There is a mosaic map underneath it that shows the dates that the Portuguese discovered their far flung colonies in South America and the far east. Rather than attempt to do more sightseeing, we simply decided to contact another Uber to bring us back to the hotel. We will have a few minutes of downtime before we meet our shipmates for a wonderful dinner in a nearby restaurant.Okumaya devam et
