Another early wake up and departure this morning as we had another long day of driving ahead. We got packed up quickly, we are now pros at this and got moving. Tate basically sleep walked down from her bed, sat in her seat and put her pillow on the table and didn’t move for another 4 hours. By the time she did wake up we had driven through some early morning rain in Germany which prompted us to take some back routes as the motorways are just not enjoyable to drive on and we had stopped to fill up on petrol in Luxembourg as well as fill up on local cakes , although in my opinion they were nothing to write home about and so I won’t. Jess and Allegra though did let me go into the shop with my T-shirt inside out, although given the bedraggled state of my appearance this was possibly no more than the cash register dude would have expected. We zipped through Luxembourg in no time at all, not seeing anything that made me think there was any reason for us to return. After that it was a homecoming to la belle France and what an absolute joy it was to be driving on motorways without the constant threat of lorries or the disruption of endless roadworks where nothing was actually being done. We stopped at a roadside services for lunch, and after departing this morning in miserable drizzle we certainly knew we were back in France as we could feel the heat, not excessive like when we left, but a good reminder of why we did.
Back on the road after lunch and the only thing left for us to do was decide where we would spend our last night, as we weren’t going to make it all he way home. When I suggested to Jess that we could go to Beaune I could tell that she was up for it although the look of shock on the twins faces quickly ruled that out. The next option was Dijon but no one was keen on that, they all agreed that it didn’t quite cut the mustard as an overnight stop. The final option was Palinges and as I can’t think of any humorous reason to include that if it wasn’t to be our destination that is where we are now. I have also realised that sometimes I can be a bit repetitive with my humour and so it is probably just as well that we are almost home. At the campsite there is a pool, so a cooling swim was in order and then a couple of beers or ice creams depending on our preference with some discussion on trip highlights and how much fun we have all had. One last van dinner, and given the heat it was decided to recreate the first one with a nice quinoa salad, this time overlooking a lake. Tomorrow we will be home.
Tates reflection - sorry but Google translate will be no help
Hey hey my shawtys, or should I say Hej hej my shawtys? I should.
Hej hej my shawtys it’s yo baddie Tate the8. Sweden was an absolute banger, I had so so so much fun I really did, it’s kinda sad that’s it’s come to an end tbh I’m fosho gonna miss it but everything good eventually comes to an end so here we are at the end of our gloriously boppin, big 26 summer holidays. We left home in July, a week and a bit before Straykids’ comeback and Wayfboys debut so I was very excited but that obviously wasn’t the only reason, it had been a while since we’d gone camping in a van so I was looking forward to that too but little did I know the driving seats weren’t as comfortable as I had expected but that only bothers me when I’m awake so I was chillin, in fact I think I slept the majority of the way up so it passed in a flash (kachaow) but just in case I got bored I downloaded some kdramas on Netflix so I was supes prepared. Anyways so once we got to a real campsite we really locked in, we weren’t gonna take it slow oh no no we start off with a very long bike ride which was also quite painful #mybutthurt but so worth it cause we got the thicccckest, with multiple c’s, ice creams known to man, they were hella thick. Anyways the more northotto we went the longer our walks and bike rides got, yes we do have aura in fact we have just about as much aura as our new car called The8, she sassy and yes I did name her after xuminghao cause yes you guessed it she is Chinese, damn we’re so cool anyways enough about our diva of a car, ooh we also went to Stockholm, or Oslo as mum would say, and we went to this Korean Photo Booth it was adorbs I loved it we had so much fun and walking around Stockholm is really peaceful, it was nice but that peace didn’t last very long cause we were off to the next campsite in no time doing even longer walks it was very very funnn. Omgeezies so by now This and That had already dropped and let me get something off my chest here, I really really like it yeah but I feel it was missing a little something, who cares tho? #notme I’m still going to their tour, if they ever announce the flippin dates but that’ll be a story for next summer, hopefully. Anywayssss the camping part in general was pretty fun, the top (…) bed wasn’t as good as my extraordinary bed at home but I can sleep anywhere so I was fine, leg on the other hand was very much not #weinerschnitzel so our wonderful parents gave up their nicer bed for us three times, what goats. Ohoo I almost forgot to say, so you know how you have to make the top bed every time we move, well you don’t but me and leg did, let me tell you this, at the start of the trip me and leg had a small argument about who would do it, it ended up being me ofc but where’s the surprise there? Still we had decided that in the futur we would take turns, yeah well that did not last I think throughout these four weeks leg did it twice (what is love), what a hoe. Me and leg did the dihshes soooo many times, day and night it was a bit of a pisser tbh but it’s not like we drove and made dinner so it was the least we could do. #behelpfulkids. And you guessed it I did it three more times then leg, once because I’m just that nice and then the other two was because legs done something to her shoulder so she can’t do anything, she can’t even laugh, she says it hurts which is really hard for me because I’m legs source of joy so I tried not to make her laugh but there were moments where it was impossible, ooh speaking of being absolutely hilarious dad is definitely the funniest person I know (behind leg, but she doesn’t count) he made the same joke every time he opened the back door which was a lot and dare I say it got funnier every single time, it actually did though I think I died of laughter. Oh yes I remember!! The shops here are noiceeeeeee they got actually good Asian sections with teokbeokki so we bought a couple of those to test out!!! I can’t waitttt and we got some gochujang oohoo I can’t waittt (San). So yeah all in all it was a really fun fun fun holiday wait a minute I forgot to say we got the BTS oreosssssssssss YAAAAAAAA SMOOTH LIKE BUTTAHH LIKE A CRIMINAL UNDERCOVAHHHHH. And and and we went tree climbing and because I’m just better then everyone I did the hardest one there and it was so easy I was flying through it while singing NCTWISH steady ofc, conclusion: I’m goated.
So I’m pretty sure that’s all I had to say, it probably wasn’t but what are gonna dewwww? Nothing. So yeah I loved these holidays ouuuh actually during an argument leg called me a *** ****, I’ll leave that up to your imagination.
Okay so now I’m done forealzies this time we are now actually driving home and yes we are listening to our slappin playlist The Eighty which was made for our first roadtrip in The8 , we have tried to listen to deeznuts blends but deeznuts suck so bad. We’ve already touched down in Chinatown so now we just gotta get back to our home and my bed yahhhhhahhhhhhhhh yaho! I love going on holiday with the huzz sadly not all the huzz was present but they were here in spirit we miss them a whole lot though so after we get home yes we are going up to Paris, gosh me and leg get only two nights in our beds, that is crashout worthy. Mum and dad spent quite a bit of time actually convincing us to go up to Paris with them and you can probably guess what convinced us, yep that’s right seeing our beloved sisters and açai, and also they said we could buy some jeans and tops (heh Leeknow) so you know we couldn’t resist plus yeah I love spending time with my family altogether (I love spending time with my family), I had the best time and can’t wait to have so much more fun in the future especially in October cause I don’t know if you know but we’re going to see LNGSHOT in paRRis YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAA
ANYWAYS I LOVE YOU GUYS SO SO MUCH I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE ONLY BOPPING DAYS FOR THE REST OF YOU LIVES!!
Bye bye
P.S. lolapalooza, liechtenstein, leotokyo, Sweden!!

So Paul has asked us all to write some notes about the holiday. It’s hard to do as so much happened. It was an amazing trip
But I do struggle sometimes when we are one child down and now 2. It feels a step closer to the future when me and Paul are on our own. I have loved being with the twins and they are so amazing to be able to hang out endlessly together and just love it. They are such good sisters and friends but I know they missed their other sisters. Although they do get more of our attention and whatever they want, most of the time, when just the 2 of them. They are 2 very special people and it’s been a pleasure to spend this time with them. Even if they don’t want to wash up. We have managed to speak to Lily and Ruby everyday and a lot of the blog is for them so they can experience it too. We of course have purchased an insane amount of guilt gifts for them and have tried to include some of the things we have sampled while away. But as our girls grow up we will need to move forward and will be on our own more and more. They have promised me a week a year minimum so I will make them stick to this. So any trips like this are so important to us and we will keep making the most of them until it’s just the 2 of us. But Sweden has won our hearts as a magical place with amazing people who don’t want for much, have very little need for drama and mostly live a very simple life. We could all learn a thing or 2 from the Swedes and I hope we can take some of these things back to our day to day. I would also like to thank our biggest blog fans (outside of fallen comrades) Gina, Ali and Brian. It’s nice to read your comments and likes 😊. Czytaj więcej

Well the time has come and our last day has arrived. We didn’t wake up quite as early as we thought we might but that’s ok, the drive home was not going to be too long. We packed up one last time and emptied all the waste from the van and we were on our way. We had all contributed to a bopping playlist, CarPlay Diem, so we had some awesome tunes to listen to. It was a fun trip home, I think we were all on a high from the happy memories we had created, but for me as we got closer to home the holiday blues definitely started to kick in and I would have very happily turned around and carried on. As it was, after 6583kms and almost 90 hours of driving we were home and there’s not much point in going into too much more detail, it’s all been covered pretty well. Needless to say, we all loved Sweden and would definitely go back, it is a spectacular country. Czytaj więcej

Yayyyyy! Well done lads
PodróżnikI will very much miss reading these daily descriptions of your day. You're right, Google Translate didn't have a 'Tate' setting. But "Leg's source of joy" I appreciated much! Happy homecoming everyone xx
