Hubbard Glacier

We awoke with an early view of the Hubbard Glacier … on deck we were well wrapped up to try and avoid the cold … it was freezing especially on approach to the glacier. Approaching the glacier was surreal, the boat silently moving through the very cold waters filled with lots of ice. The views of the glacier were unbelievable, magically, surreal, majestic. Up close the colours were brilliant blues and whites … the sound of the ice caving was unreal … we saw it happen before we heard it. The size of the glacier is enormous and the ship appears so small when up close.
The rest of the day was spent on board … relaxing as we left the glacier behind … we chilled and enjoyed the amazing scenery.Read more
